Upazila Agriculture Office, a field functionary office of the Department of Agricultural Extension under the Ministry of Agriculture. Upazila agricultural officers and other officers and employees, works to spread new technologies (like new varieties, cultivation process, harvesting and preservation techniques) developed from agricultural research in the field. Upazila Agriculture Offices implement all these activities through demonestration, exhibition, training, field day, group discussions, etc. Kaptai Upazila Agriculture Office, located on the west side of Baraichari-Rangamati road. There are upazila agricultural officers, agricultural extension officer, assistant agricultural extension officer and 9 other office staff in this office. Besides this,  15 sub-assistant agricultural officers working in each of the 5 unions in the field. Apart from the sub-assistant agricultural officers at the field level, technical assistance is provided to the farmers, from Upazila Agriculture Office regularly.
